Coronavirus the latest

We are facing an unprecedented situation with the coronavirus outbreak which will impact all of us to a greater or lesser extent.

Bicycle shops are excluded from the list of businesses that must now close following the Government announcement on the 23rd March.

The full list of businesses which must close and those allowed to remain open can be found here :  https://assets.publishing.service.gov.uk/government/uploads/system/uploads/attachment_data/file/874732/230320_-_Revised_guidance_note_-_finalVF.pdf

There is plenty of room in the store so customers will be required to respect the recommended “social distance”

We are also more than happy to receive and hand over bikes for repair/servicing outside the store if this is what the customer requires.

We will however limit the number of customers in store at any one time to two. This will be done by locking the door so you may find you are asked to wait outside briefly.

We would ask that all payments are made with a card wherever possible.

We are more than happy to post items out from the store. We use both E Bay under the Cyclesport Connect name or just ring or mail us. Items can also be ordered for collection via Freewheel.co.uk.

Turn around times in the workshop may extend a little as we anticipate some issues with availability of stock and our reduced staffing levels.

In the meantime, we hope everyone keeps well and continues to enjoy their cycling.

The Government is allowing people to take exercise outdoors providing the guidelines on social distancing are respected.

One of the upsides of the virus may be that conditions for cycling improve. Less traffic, less air pollution and more time at home i.e. no time stuck in traffic commuting for those working from home!
