To distil it all down you are welcome you to go along and take your riding to a new level within a friendly and sociable environment.

Lincoln Wheelers  www.lincolnwheelers.co.uk

The aim of Lincoln Wheelers is to promote cycling as a social, recreational and competitive activity with a high regard for well-being and safety. The Club has members of all ages and membership is open to anyone wishing to apply.

Competitive Events

We have competitive events which take place from March to October each year with a Spring and an Autumn 5 mile time trial league plus a 10 mile and a 25 mile time trial league during the Summer months. Throughout the year there is also a circuit race league for road racing enthusiasts on closed roads.
The league events are interspersed by championship events at various distances and disciplines including, team time trials, hill climb, road racing and cyclo-cross. There are also special events for tandems and tricycles.

Recreational and Training Events
Sunday morning club runs take place throughout the year. The distance covered varies during the year (typically 40 miles) and there may be a split into faster and slower groups according to the turn out on the day. These club runs are an excellent way of training socially in a group.
From October to March, weekly indoor fitness training sessions (circuit training) are held, suitable for all ages and levels of fitness.

Social Events

After the competitive events, it is the practice to stay and have a chat over a snack and a drink.
The club holds an annual prize presentation evening at the end of each season and, during the year, there will be various social activities such as, summer barbeque, downhill freewheeling, Christmas party, and trips to the Velodrome.
